Position Overview: As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting both the retail sales and back‑office operations of our store. You will assist in overseeing daily store operations, managing stock, staff, sales performance, and customer service. Additionally, you will help ensure efficient financial processes, including payment schemes and reconciliation. This dual role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, address issues, and maintain a productive environment.
- Implement company policies and procedures, ensuring staff compliance.
- Manage inventory, track stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers to minimize shortages.
- Assist with visual merchandising and product displays to promote sales.
- Lead, mentor, and train staff, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented atmosphere.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training new staff.
- Coordinate staff schedules to optimize coverage.
- Support staff in administrative tasks and using company software.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and resolve any issues.

Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail sales environment, preferably in the cycling or sports industry.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in inventory management and visual merchandising.
- Proficiency in using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and other retail software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Passion for cycling and a strong knowledge of bicycles, components, and accessories.
