We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our growing Building Services team. This is a hands-on role involving installation, maintenance, testing and inspection works across a range of retail, commercial and fit-out environments nationwide. The successful candidate will be flexible, dependable and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship while working to project deadlines in fast-paced environments. Travel across the UK and working away from home will be required.

Main responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical installation works in commercial and retail premises in line with current regulations and company standards.
  • Perform inspection, testing and fault-finding on electrical systems and installations.
  • Complete maintenance and reactive repair work as required.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with the latest regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with site managers, subcontractors and other trades on-site.
  • Complete all relevant certification and documentation accurately.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles in good condition.
  • Support project delivery through overtime, weekend and night working where required.
  • Represent the company professionally when working on client sites nationwide.

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical installation, testing and fault diagnosis.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong work ethic with a results-driven attitude.
  • High level of drive, energy and commitment to quality standards.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and organised approach to work.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant electrotechnical qualifications in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Requirements for Electrical Installations.
  • City & Guilds 2391-10 or 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent).
  • Completed recognised electrical apprenticeship.
  • CSCS card preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
