What you'll do as the Safety, Health & Environment Manager:
- Provide strategic leadership across safety, health, environment, process safety and security as part of the Refinery Leadership Team.
- Own the SHE management system and keep it aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Lead the COMAH duties, ensuring the Safety Case Report is delivered on schedule.
- Act as the site's lead authority on SHE, advising senior leaders and operational teams.
- Build strong relationships with regulators, emergency services and external stakeholders.
- Lead emergency preparedness, resilience planning and crisis management across the site.
- Develop and support your SHE and Security team of ten.
What you'll need to apply for the Safety, Health & Environment Manager:
- Demonstrable experience operating within an upper-tier COMAH site.
- A Level 6 SHE qualification as a minimum (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent), plus a relevant environmental qualification, with a strong grasp of process safety and major hazard risk.
- Strong people leadership and proven experience liaising with outside agencies such as the HSE, environment regulators and gold command, including emergency response management.
