We’re recruiting for a Quality Manager position with a well-established, growing food manufacturer. With 195 stores currently operating and store 196 opening next week, the business is continuing to expand and now needs a dedicated quality professional to take ownership of food safety, compliance and standards across the operation.
The role will report directly to the CEO, manage the existing QA Assistant, and be responsible for developing and improving the company’s quality systems during a period of major growth.
- Annual bonus scheme
- ~34 days holiday, including bank holidays
- ~ Company pension
- ~20% staff discount
The business is now at the stage where quality needs a dedicated quality specialist rather than being managed alongside other responsibilities. The Quality Manager will take ownership of the HACCP system, improve current processes, serve as the main point of contact for EHO inspections, and keep the business up to date on regulatory changes.
You’ll also need to be confident in holding people to account on standards across production and working closely with other departments, including buying, where specifications play an important part.
Extensive experience in a quality management function within the food manufacturing sector is required, along with experience with BRC, ideally including implementation.
This role is expected to be mainly Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. However, because production runs over extended hours, there will be times when flexibility is needed to cover different shifts and ensure standards are maintained across the operation.
This is an opportunity to join a business with strong momentum, projected to achieve £100 million turnover this year, while helping shape the next stage of its quality function. The company has also recently become an Employee-Owned Trust, creating an environment focused on long-term success and employee benefits.
