We are looking for technical people who want to move off the tools into an Internal Sales Engineer position. Skills you already have include reading a drawing, spotting tolerances, materials, and understanding what the customer actually needs. That’s years of learning most jobs never put to proper use.
As an Internal Sales Engineer, you’ll use that same knowledge to quote, process orders, and build the workshop job pack, without the early alarm or the overtime. Finished by 5: Monday to Friday hours, with the option to finish at 4:30pm on a shorter lunch, so your evenings start earlier.
Your salary, benefits & hours of work:
- £30,000 to £35,000, negotiable depending on experience
- 6% employer pension contribution
- Eligibility for an annual bonus
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Office closes fully between Christmas and New Year
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, or finish at 4:30pm with a shorter lunch
What you’ll do as the Internal Sales Engineer:
- You’ll be a key part of a small sales team, the main point of contact for customers and suppliers alike.
- Read engineering drawings and build workshop job packs.
- Quote from customer designs and material specifications.
- Process orders and answer customer queries.
- Order materials and coordinate with suppliers.
- Keep records accurate across 25,000 products.
