We are a start-up developing novel battery materials for high-performance Li-metal batteries and look for a Senior Electrochemist. It is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast moving team building new technologies.

Responsibilities

  1. Design battery cells based on new electrolytes and Company anode materials in line with customer specifications.
  2. Prepare specifications for electrolyte compositions for new lithium battery based on proprietary lithium anode developed by the Company.
  3. Oversee test cell assembly using company proprietary anode materials.
  4. Oversee customer relationship in bespoke battery/electrolyte development including assessment of product and market requirements including costs.

Qualifications

  • Educated to at least degree level in Electrochemistry, Physical Chemistry including training in electrochemical methods such as EIS, PhD desirable.
  • Practical experience in Li metal electrochemistry, battery development and chemical engineering, Li-ion battery technology and related materials; knowledge of solid-state-battery technology would be an advantage.
  • Being up to date with the state-of-the-art in battery technology.
  • Well organised, able to prioritise and work with minimal supervision.
