The Role: We are seeking enthusiastic computer science mentors to guide high school students applying to undergraduate programs in the UK and US. You will help students navigate the strategic decisions that set them up for success in competitive majors and assist them in developing their UCAS applications. You will also assist in developing educational content related to UK admissions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Guiding extracurricular choices including research opportunities, professional shadowing, and interest-related volunteer work
- Crafting compelling UCAS personal statements and supplemental essays that demonstrate genuine interest in their program
- Helping students build authentic narratives around their passion for their majors
- Sharing insights about your experience at Oxford or Cambridge
- Preparing students for interviews
- Developing educational content related to Oxbridge admissions
Qualifications:
- Current student at or graduate from Oxford or Cambridge
- Strong academic record and understanding of what it takes to succeed in competitive programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in mentoring, teaching, or academic coaching (broadly)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the challenges of university application preparation
- Real passion for helping students achieve their academic and career goals
- Ability to work remotely with an international team and client-base
