Principal Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and wellbeing of all children in the care room.
  • Lead age-appropriate activities and manage group dynamics.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and handle emergencies calmly.
  • Plan and implement curriculum and hands-on activities.
  • Maintain records, paperwork, and a clean, organised space.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and the Center Director.
  • Participate in ongoing training and occasional enrollment/outreach events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year as a Center Director.
  • Experience managing multi-age groups, including school-age children.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or similar certification.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Lead Teacher in a daycare or preschool setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning.
  • Experience with diapering and knowledge of diapering best practices.
  • Strong communication skills with children and parents.
  • First Aid & CPR certification (can be supported before start date).
