Overview

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and execute targeted sustainability and environmental strategies tailored for the infrastructure project.
  • Integrate sustainability goals into every project phase–from initial planning and design to construction and operational handover.
  • Provide expert advice and strategic leadership on all sustainability and environmental concerns to project leadership.
  • Lead and adapt project–specific sustainability programs, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving project needs and goals.
  • Align sustainability efforts with industry benchmarks and innovative practices.
  • Spearhead the process to achieve LEED Gold certification by developing strategies for site sustainability, water and energy efficiency, responsible material use, and indoor environmental quality.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure LEED criteria are embedded in project methodologies.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant environmental regulations–local, national, and international.
  • Build and manage environmental monitoring systems to track compliance.
  • Serve as the main contact for regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
  • Stay current with Saudi Arabian environmental laws and ensure ongoing adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver clear, consistent communication of sustainability targets and progress to internal and external stakeholders via reports and presentations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience, ideally in managing sustainability on large–scale infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and executing effective environmental strategies.
  • Deep understanding of LEED standards and certification processes.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Hands on experience achieving LEED Gold certification in infrastructure projects.
  • Strong familiarity with Saudi Arabia's environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Skilled in using sustainability reporting tools and frameworks.
  • Capable of managing multiple high priority tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage.
