Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Head of IT Operations, this role will ensure a high level of user satisfaction by providing first‑line IT support, resolving routine issues, and managing service desk tickets.
  • The role will be responsible for monitoring service performance, escalating complex issues to the Senior Systems Specialist, and supporting service delivery improvements.
  • Assisting with onboarding new users, including account setup, hardware build and configuration, and IT induction training.
  • Troubleshooting common hardware (desktops, laptops, printers), software (Microsoft 365), and network connectivity issues (Wi‑Fi and wired connections).
  • Handling routine maintenance and system checks, monitoring service performance, contributing to SLA reporting, and supporting database upkeep and user onboarding.
  • A commitment to learning, sharing knowledge, and embracing change is essential; the successful candidate will stay up to date with emerging technologies and act as a subject‑matter expert in key areas.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and the ability to manage service desk tickets effectively.
  • Demonstrated customer‑service skills and a proactive, user‑focused approach are required.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing is essential.
