The Royal Blind School, operated by Sight Scotland, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Edinburgh, covering a maternity leave post. This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic educational environment, making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with vision impairment and additional complex needs.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support the educational, social, and emotional development of our pupils. You will assist in delivering personalised learning programmes and provide essential one-to-one and group support to ensure each learner can access the curriculum in a way that suits their individual needs. You will be required to support the health and personal care needs of learners. The role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting independence and confidence in every child.
