We have a fantastic opportunity for a Social Care Assistant – Deaf Services, to join our team! Here is the link to a BSL Video
You will provide a wide range of practical and emotional support, empowering and promoting wellbeing for people and their families and/or carers. Supporting the completion of wellbeing checks, strength-based reviews, person led assessments and support plans in their homes or across the community.
You will deliver a responsive adult services duty service, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Responding to a range of different queries, delivered in person, SMS, email, video or via Facetime. Your focus will be ensuring every interaction is welcoming, accessible, and focused on achieving the best outcome for the person.
With advanced communication in British Sign Language (BSL). You will be joining a supportive team, passionate about supporting people who are Deaf, hard of hearing or deafblind in our community and promoting accessible services.
Ideally you will have supported and worked with people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind or have an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to learn.
This role is based in our new center in Ashtead, Surrey, with a requirement to travel across the county. You must be able to travel independently across the county.
