Location: St Ives, Cambridge/Hybrid
Scheme Duration: 2 Years
Job summary:
As a Graduate Specification Manager, you’ll join the AccuRoof business, in a fast-paced, outward-facing role that sits at the heart of the construction specification process. You’ll work with architects, surveyors, local authorities, property owners, main contractors and roofing contractors — supporting projects from early design through tender and contract award to completion. Alongside experienced colleagues, you’ll learn how specifications are secured, protected and converted, while building deep knowledge of roofing systems and the construction lifecycle.
This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate looking to build a long-term career in construction specification, technical sales or commercial roofing systems.
Your development:
This role is designed to grow with you. Over your first 12–24 months, you’ll build strong foundations in roofing systems, construction standards and the specification process, while progressively taking ownership of projects and relationships. You’ll be supported through:
- On-the-job learning alongside experienced Specification and Commercial teams
- Exposure to live projects across refurbishment and new build
- Development of technical knowledge, consultative selling and stakeholder management skills
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for potential, curiosity and drive. You’ll likely be:
- A minimum 2:2 degree in a business-related subject
- Recently graduated within the last 3 years
- Curious about how buildings are designed, specified and delivered
- Confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects at different stages
- A clear and professional communicator, comfortable asking questions and offering solutions
- Self-motivated, resilient and keen to build a long-term career in the construction industry
- An understanding of the construction lifecycle, standards or supply chains is helpful — but full technical knowledge will be developed in role.
- Full driving license and access to a car or ability to get to branch locations and occasional overnight stays may be needed.
