We are seeking a talented Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our client's prestigious team. This role involves delivering high-quality endoscopy services, including both gastroscopy and colonoscopy, primarily under local anaesthesia with or without sedation.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures to referred patients.
- Adhere to the British Society of Gastroenterologist guidelines and manage the collection and submission of Global Rating Scale and patient outcome data.
- Assist with incident and complaint root cause analysis reporting to the Medical Director and the Hospital Director.
- Validate discharge information and pathology results, ensuring they are sent to the necessary parties, such as GPs or local MOTs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Eligible for a GMC License to Practice.
- Experience in delivering gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
- Strong adherence to clinical guidelines and standards.
- Ability to participate in clinical audits, training, and quality assessment activities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-professional team.
