We are seeking a Consultant Ophthalmologist to join their dedicated team in a role that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a specific focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Perform a range of ophthalmology procedures on patients referred to the treatment centre, adhering to centre protocols and practices.
  • Conduct preoperative and postoperative activities, including clinical support work.
  • Engage in outpatient assessments prior to surgery and manage all aspects of post-operative care.
  • Demonstrate high-level skills in both operative and non-operative management and assessment of ophthalmology-specific procedures such as Slit-Lamp examination, Gonioscopy, Fundoscopy, and High Volume Phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia.
  • Participate in the potential development of Medical Retina/Glaucoma services.
  • Collaborate closely with both surgical and non-surgical colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
  • Engage in audit, research, and management of services, contributing to departmental meetings and treatment centre management in agreement with the Medical Director.
