The Role:

SiFive, a leader in RISC-V CPU IPs, is looking for an experienced leader to help research and develop next-generation high-performance SoCs. The SoC architect will guide the team to develop system IPs such as IOMMU, interrupt controllers, memory controllers and a wide variety of IPs for datacenter and networking SoCs. The role also involves platform security and the development of groundbreaking new security features.

What you will do:

  • Define features
  • Architect system IPs like IOMMU and system-level solutions.
  • Define platform security requirements and the architecture of the needed security features.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Product Architect to define architecture and product specifications.
  • Design and carry out experiments to research and develop architecture and micro-architecture features.
  • Work with the design team to implement and deliver system IPs.
  • Interact directly with customers to understand their needs, use cases, and to help resolve concerns.
  • Participate in SIG/TG/HC activities related to system architecture.

Requirements:

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science / Computer Architecture
  • 10+ years of experience in SoC architecture
  • 5+ years involved in the engineering team delivering hardware products
  • Experience in SoC design flow, including spec definition, microarchitecture design, and performance modeling
  • Knowledge of CPU architectures, power management and SoC design
  • Deep understanding of platform hardware, operating systems, device drivers and firmware interactions

Pay & Benefits:

Consistent with SiFive values and applicable law, we provide information to promote pay transparency and equity. We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay range is a guideline, and our compensation range reflects the cost of labor in the U.S. market based on the role location. Pay within these ranges varies based on knowledge, skills and experience.

For candidates who receive an offer, the starting salary will vary based on qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The range may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee.

Base Pay Range: $254,340.00-$310,860.00

In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity. The role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package which may include healthcare and retirement plans, paid time off, and more.
