Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google\’s earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
What you\\\’ll do Own the full-cycle, end-to-end recruiting process for technical roles (engineering, product, data, and infrastructure), delivering a high-quality experience for candidates, interviewers, and hiring managers
Partner closely with hiring managers as a trusted advisor to define role requirements, develop compelling position profiles, and align on hiring priorities and timelines
Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies across multiple channels (LinkedIn, referrals, communities, events, etc.) to attract both active and passive technical talent
Proactively identify, engage, and close top technical candidates in a competitive market
Manage and continuously optimize the interview process, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and equitable hiring practices
Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics (pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate experience) and share insights with hiring managers and Sierra leadership on a regular cadence
What you\\\’ll bring 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
Proven ability to develop and execute recruiting strategies that align with business objectives.
A well-established network within the tech industry and a passion for building new connections.
Ability to navigate ambiguity in order to adapt to the ever-changing needs of a growing organization.
Proficiency in using recruiting metrics and data to inform decisions and improve processes.
Strong collaboration skills with a willingness to work cross-functionally to achieve Sierra’s goals.
Understanding of technical roles and the ability to assess technical talent is a plus.
