We are looking for a CAD Engineer to join us at SNC Mission Systems UK in St Athans.

We providetailored mission systems integration and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions for the UK Government and its allies.

It's an exciting time to join us as a CAD Engineer as we are expanding our operations.

You'll play a key role in supporting manufacturing and product design by managing the design, development, and modification of technical drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design software.

Some of your responsibilities will include...

  • Creating two and three-dimensional designs and technical drawings
  • Completing project planning work such as budget and timeline estimates
  • Developing CAD quality standards and practice guidelines
  • Increasing production outputs by improving product design and structure

We are looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in new projects and enjoys working with a team of motivated colleagues to achieve the needed outcomes.

To qualify for the role, it is essential that you are...

  • Level 3 CAD qualified or degree qualified in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering
  • Experienced working as CAD Engineer with sound knowledge of CAD software
  • Knowledgeable in two and three-dimensional designs & drawings

Ideally, you also have...

  • Industry experience and understanding of machining, CNC and welding
  • Hands‑on experience with measurement tools
  • Experience working within the thermal plastic fabrication industry
