Role overview

As a Thermal Plastic Fabricator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our manufacturing operations by expertly fabricating and assembling thermal plastic components used in high-performance aerospace and defence applications. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will directly impact the quality and reliability of our products.

Key responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble thermal plastic parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Operate specialised equipment including heat guns, ovens, and vacuum forming machines to shape and join plastics.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve fabrication processes and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, fabrication processes, and quality inspections.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organised working environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in training and development to stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications & experience

  • Proven experience as a Thermal Plastic Fabricator or in a similar manufacturing/fabrication role.
  • Strong knowledge of thermal plastic materials, fabrication techniques, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail to achieve precise fabrication outcomes.
  • Understanding of quality control procedures and commitment to producing defect-free work.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
