Get to Know This Role The Sr HR Generalist supports a broad range of human resources functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compliance, and workforce planning.
This role partners closely with HR leadership, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition Partners to provide strategic and operational HR support across the business.
The Sr HR Generalist serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, helping to drive employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and a positive workplace culture.
This position provides direct employee relations support to operational business units, coaching leaders on performance management, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, investigations, and corrective action while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

What You Will Do
- Serve as a trusted HR resource and primary point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, employment practices, and workplace concerns.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to support business objectives through workforce planning, employee relations, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and change management initiatives.
- Provide coaching and consultation to leaders on employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, attendance, corrective action, policy interpretation, and employee development.
- Conduct workplace investigations, document findings, recommend corrective actions, and mitigate organizational risk while ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Build strong relationships with leaders across supported business units through regular consultation, providing guidance on leadership effectiveness, retention, team development, and workforce challenges.
- Support performance management and talent processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, development planning, succession planning, and talent assessments.
- Identify training and development needs and facilitate employee and leadership training programs, including compliance, performance management, employee relations, and new manager development.
- Support talent acquisition and onboarding efforts, including workforce planning, candidate screening, interview participation, new hire orientation, and successful employee integration.
- Assist with compensation and benefits administration, including salary recommendations, merit planning, employee communications, benefits support, and issue resolution.
- Analyze workforce data and trends related to staffing, turnover, attendance, retention, and employee relations, providing recommendations to support business decisions and operational performance.
- Maintain HR records and documentation, assist with policy development and implementation, participate in HR projects and organizational initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved required
- Master's Degree in human resources or related field preferred
- 4 years of human resources experience required and
- 1 year of employee relations experience required and
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Specific focus in restaurant and customer service preferred
- Strong knowledge of human resources principles and practices, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training and development, and employment law compliance.
- Knowledge of HR applications and programs. Working knowledge of HRIS systems (UKG Ulti Pro) and Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, focused on enhancing workflow efficiency and optimizing HR processes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the organization.
- Chico, CA based with required work onsite 5 days a week.
