Location: Remote, UK-based
Engagement: 1–2 hours per month

About Sierra Medical
Sierra Medical is transforming early lung cancer detection through proprietary infrared spectral analysis and explainable AI. Our flagship diagnostic, AIR-DS Lung (Advanced Infrared Decision Support), identifies early-stage lung cancer using just a cheek swab, delivering >90% accuracy using standard lab equipment, no additional hardware or workflow changes required.
This patented, cloud-based platform empowers providers with scalable, non-invasive testing for earlier detection, better outcomes, and reduced costs. Sierra is a science-first, B2B SaaS company focused on clinical adoption and regulatory expansion across diagnostics and population health initiatives.
The Role
We are inviting experienced General Practitioners across the UK to join our National Clinical Advisory Panel.
This is an opportunity to influence diagnostic innovation from the ground up, helping us understand how AIR-DS Lung fits into GP workflows, improves triage, and enables scalable early detection. You’ll play a key role in referral strategy and market access, helping expand AIR-DS across UK primary care.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on Clinical Fit: Guide how AIR-DS integrates into NHS and private GP pathways.
- Shape Referral Strategy: Help design scalable ways to introduce AIR-DS into frontline care.
- Provide Implementation Feedback: Offer input on how GPs will experience and use the platform.
- Support Adoption: Act as a clinical champion for AIR-DS within your region or professional network.
- Enable Partnerships: Introduce Sierra to relevant CCGs, referral hubs, or screening collaborators.
Ideal Candidates
We’re looking for GPs who:
- Routinely involved in the recognition, triage, and referral of suspected cancers
- Are curious about diagnostics, innovation, and clinical SaaS tools
- Want to shape a product from the frontlines of primary care
- Are open to equity-based advisory work with future strategic opportunities
Why Join Sierra Medical?
- Support Scalable Innovation: AIR-DS Lung offers high-performing, non-invasive testing for earlier cancer detection.
- Join a Mission-Driven Team: Collaborate with AI experts, regulatory leaders, and clinicians shaping a new standard in diagnostics.
- Receive Equity & Advisory Access: Advisors earn stock options and receive first-look access to our current seed round.
- Drive Real-World Impact: Help ensure this diagnostic tool reaches the communities who need it most — earlier and faster.
Why does this matter?
Sierra Medical is preparing for commercial launch in the United States, where most of our current activity and partnerships are focused. We’re inviting UK-based GPs to join us at a pivotal time: as early clinical advisors, you’ll help shape how AIR-DS Lung is introduced and adopted in real-world practice bringing frontline insight from the UK that will inform our US expansion. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovation that’s gaining traction globally, while also building its relevance locally.
Compensation & Opportunity
- Equity: In recognition of your strategic input
- Referral Incentives: Commission structure available for facilitating partnerships
- Optional Seed Round Access: Priority access to Sierra’s ongoing raise
