Our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, has retained our services to search for an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join their team.

Candidates MUST HAVE demonstrable experience within injection moulding manufacturing with good mould setting and processing skills. This opportunity will suit an Injection Moulding Technician who is looking to continue their development and further their career within the industry.

Role:

The successful injection moulding technician candidate will carry out tool changes effectively and safely in the injection moulding areas of the business. As injection moulding setter, it is your responsibility to ensure injection moulding processes can achieve targeted scrap and efficiency levels, on new and existing products. You will be required to work well within the technical injection moulding setting, processing & optimisation team. You will also carry out tool and material trials, basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting, drive continuous improvements ensuring product quality is maintained, and good working practices are adhered to. Additionally, you will liaise with all members of the department to ensure operations run smoothly and ensure that key performance indicators on tool changing are achieved. It is essential to maintain Health & Safety rules in your work area and demonstrate a duty of care to colleagues, visitors, contractors or anyone else on site.

Experience:

  • Injection moulding setting experience
  • Recognised injection moulding qualification (preferable)
  • Knowledge of materials such as PC, ABS, PA, PP, TPE etc.
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, crane etc.)
  • Self-motivated individual with a willingness to achieve KPI targets
