Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their team in support of continued business growth.

This position will suit an experienced technical moulding professional with proven experience in leading and delivering complex NPI projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager with a solid technical moulding background, hands-on experience within fast-paced injection moulding manufacturing environments and a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams.

A strong command of 8D problem solving and FMEA methodologies is essential in this role.

As Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the lifecycle of projects from concept through to production, ensuring deliverables meet cost, quality and timing objectives. In this role, you will lead the planning, execution and delivery of complex engineering projects across the moulding facility.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of new injection moulded products.
  • Lead on new technology and equipment procurement projects.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle including planning, risk management, execution and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with design, tooling, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Utilise 8D methodology to identify, analyse and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Facilitate the development and continuous improvement of PFMEAs and DFMEAs to mitigate product and process risks.
  • Manage supplier and customer communications related to project activities.
  • Support validation activities including capability studies and PPAP submissions.
  • Monitor project KPIs (cost, quality, delivery) and report regularly to stakeholders.

Experience Requirements:

  • Good qualifications within engineering or manufacturing.
  • 5 years of either technical management / project management experience within plastic injection moulding NPI.
  • Demonstrable experience managing NPI projects from concept through to launch.
  • Deep understanding of injection moulding processes, machinery and tooling.
  • Proficient in 8D, root cause analysis and problem solving methodologies.
  • Strong experience within DFMEA and PFMEA preparation and facilitation.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Familiarity with industry regulatory standards such as ISO 9001.
