Remit: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join a market leader within their specialist field as the business continues to expand their reach across the UK. The role will suit an accomplished technical sales professional with a proven track record in the plastics industry and experience selling to injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion manufacturers.
The successful Technical Sales Manager will play an integral role in growing UK sales both through developing new business opportunities and managing existing accounts, adopting a technical, solution-based sales approach.
Role: In the role of Technical Sales Manager you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by combining technical expertise and commercial acumen. As Technical Sales Manager you will engage with technical & engineering personnel of customers to present technical solutions and clear value propositions. The successful Technical Sales Manager will lead the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through to sale close and after sales support.
- Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities within the plastics industry.
- Develop and execute sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, synergy partners and distributors.
- Act as the technical point of contact during the sales process, clearly articulating the product solutions, performance and value.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and customer workshops.
- Work closely with customers to understand application requirements and recommend optimal solutions.
- Contribute to sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience of technical sales within the plastics industry.
- Experience managing key accounts and long-term customer relationships.
