Working alongside our client, a leading injection moulding manufacturer of automotive components, we are looking for a Trainee Injection Moulding Setter to join their team.

Remit:
As a Trainee Injection Moulding Setter you will be responsible for setting up injection moulding machines, including installing moulds and configuring machine settings for production runs. This role would suit candidates who have been working within an injection moulding manufacturer as a Trainee Injection Moulding Setter, Operator or Material Handler who can demonstrate knowledge/experience in carrying out tool changes, machine start ups and basic troubleshooting. This is an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Injection Moulding Setter to join a forward-thinking company who can offer training and development for the right candidate.
Role:
- Setting up injection moulding machines, including installing moulds and configuring machine settings for production runs.
- Monitoring the injection moulding process, including adjusting conditions to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Escalate any delays in mould changes or production stoppages to the Shift Leader or Production Manager.
- Conducting first-off inspections and ensuring product quality meets standards.
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on moulds and machines.
- Maintaining accurate records of machine settings, production data, and maintenance activities.
- Identifying and resolving issues related to moulding defects or machine malfunctions.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.
Experience & Requirements:
- A working knowledge of setting and maintaining Injection Moulding machinery with an excellent eye for detail.
- Good understanding of general manufacturing practices and procedures.
- Good organisational skills and able to work to deadlines.
- Good workplace organisation with a strong 5s mind-set.
- Ability to learn within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
