Our client, a successful injection moulding company supplying to a variety of industries, are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Team.
Remit:
As Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs to mechanical, pneumatic and electrical on-site equipment and automation cells. You will have strong electrical/mechanical applications with proven experience of problem solving, fault finding and repairing of injection moulding manufacturing machinery as well as robots, automated systems and assembly lines.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and fault-find mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Repair and maintain injection moulding machines, dryers, conveyors, granulators, temperature controllers and industrial robots.
- Support tooling changeovers and troubleshoot mould-related issues where required.
- Carry out routine inspections, condition monitoring, and preventative maintenance.
- Identify recurring faults and propose permanent corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Injection Moulding manufacturing.
- You will ideally have a 16th, 17th or 18th Edition electrical installation certificate.
- You will have a good mechanical application and experience/working understanding with hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
- You will have good proven experience with PLCs and 3 Phase Ladder Logic fault-finding & problem-solving.
- You will have good clear communication skills for interacting with your team and other department Managers.
- It is expected that you will have good IT skills with MS Office & Word.
- Experience of training/mentoring Apprentices would be advantageous.
