Remit:
An excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking injection moulding manufacturer of components and assemblies servicing a wide range of industries. Candidates MUST HAVE demonstrable experience within injection moulding manufacturing with good mould setting and processing skills. This opportunity will suit an Injection Moulding Setter who is looking to further develop their processing skills while progressing within the business.
Role:
- The successful injection moulding technician candidate will carry out tool changes effectively and safely in the injection moulding areas of the business.
- Carry out tool changes in a prompt and safe manner.
- Set-up machine operating parameters from scratch to process parts to specifications.
- Set up production moulds using established machine settings and setting sheets.
- Troubleshoot and process any issues when required.
- Record process specifications on setting sheets and PVT sheets.
- Purge the machine barrel of remaining material at the end of each order.
- Inspect sample parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Perform regular TPM on presses.
- To drive continuous improvements ensuring product quality is maintained & good working practices are adhered to.
- To liaise with all members of the department to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Liaise with toolroom and Supervisor regarding any issues with aluminium moulds.
- To ensure Health & Safety rules are maintained with your own work area and demonstrate a duty of care to colleagues, visitors, contractors or anyone else on site.
Experience:
- IMT Level 2 or Equivalent industry recognised training
- Demonstrable experience within injection moulding manufacturing
- Experience with a wide range of materials
- Able to use measuring instruments such as verniers and scales.
- Use of handheld and stationary power tools
- Use of overhead crane, forklift and pallet truck an advantage but not essential
- Good verbal and written communication
