Working exclusively with our client, an established and expanding injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead their Maintenance Department.

Remit:

This position will suit a Senior / Lead Maintenance Engineer with good people skills looking to progress into a leadership role. Candidates MUST HAVE prior maintenance experience within injection moulding machinery and ancillary equipment. A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of the Maintenance Department of a progressive manufacturing company who continue to invest in new equipment and technologies.

Role:

In the role of Maintenance Manager you will oversee all maintenance activities for injection moulding machinery, robots and ancillary equipment onsite. This Maintenance Manager position is a hands-on leadership role responsible for minimizing downtime and developing a preventative maintenance culture across the plant. As Maintenance Manager you will lead the Maintenance Team towards TPM, ensuring continuous and safe running to reduce incidents and breakdowns. Communicating directly with IM machinery and ancillary equipment suppliers where required to ensure swift response. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs. Lead breakdown response and technical troubleshooting of equipment issues. Lead all maintenance operations for injection moulding machinery, robots and ancillary equipment. Play an active role in the commissioning and installation of new equipment. Develop and mentor the Maintenance Engineers within the team. Plan and control maintenance budgets, spares and critical inventory.

Experience Requirements:

  • Previous experience within injection moulding maintenance is essential
  • Good leadership and communication skills at all levels
  • A good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronic/electrical automation controls
  • Qualified electrician with 16th/17th/18th Edition regulations or equivalent
  • Logic fault-finding & problem-solving skills
  • Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Experience of reactive maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
