Our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, has retained our services to search for an experienced Injection Moulding Technician/Supervisor to join their team.

An excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking injection moulding manufacturer of components and assemblies servicing a wide range of industries. Candidates MUST HAVE demonstrable experience within injection moulding manufacturing with good mould setting and processing skills. This opportunity will suit an Injection Moulding Technician who is looking to continue their development and further their career within the industry.

Role:

  • The successful candidate will carry out safe and efficient mould tool changes and machine set-ups.
  • Optimise cycle times, quality and productivity while minimising downtime.
  • Troubleshoot mould, machine and process issues effectively.
  • Monitor production performance and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure production meets customer quality standards and documentation requirements.
  • Complete tool changes in line with production priorities.
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Quality and Production teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
  • Lead and support the night shift team of six operators.
  • Allocate staffing effectively to meet production requirements.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, accountability and safe working practices.
  • Monitor performance and support training, development and onboarding.
  • Manage immediate operational, welfare and safety issues, escalating where appropriate.
  • Report any HR, disciplinary, attendance or welfare concerns to the Production Manager.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new employees when required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working as an Injection Moulding Setter or Technician.
  • Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, machine setting and fault-finding.
  • Proven experience carrying out mould tool changes safely and efficiently.
  • Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative and make effective decisions during night shift operations.
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience desired but not essential.
  • Proactive, practical and hands-on approach to identifying and resolving problems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.
