Benefits: Profit share bonus scheme 25 days holiday plus bank hols Extra day off for your birthday Private medical insurance Life assurance Long term service awards Employee assistance programme PerkBox Critical illness insurance Group income protection insurance Dental insurance Travel insurance Good pension scheme Death in service benefit Private healthcare Remit: Exceptional opportunity to join a leading organisation within CNC machine tools and factory automation, offering a permanent position with excellent opportunities for technical development and career progression The successful Field Service Engineer will provide field-based technical support to customers across the UK and Ireland, primarily supporting CNC machine tools This position will suit an experienced CNC Service Engineer with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills and a background in servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial machine tools This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to further develop their technical expertise across a wider range of CNC machinery and automation systems Role: In the role of Field Service Engineer, you will diagnose and repair faults on CNC machine tools and associated equipment at customer sites You will Install, commission, service and maintain CNC machine tools in line with established company guidelines You will be required to Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and software-related issues Complete machine inspections, adjustments, geometry checks and component replacements Provide technical support to customers to maximise machine uptime and minimise production downtime Liaise with internal teams to source parts and assist with the resolution of complex technical faults Support a range of CNC machine tools and automation equipment as required Provide customers with guidance and training on machine operation, maintenance and safety Complete accurate service reports detailing work completed, parts used and any outstanding actions Maintain accurate service histories and record time, travel and parts usage through internal ERP systems Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional and responsive technical support Identify opportunities for additional service, spare parts and training requirements Ensure compliance with company and customer health, safety and environmental requirements, including RAMS, permits, isolation and site access procedures Maintain and develop technical knowledge of CNC controls, machine tools and automation systems Travel throughout the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays, occasional out-of-hours work and overseas travel where required Contribute to service utilisation, customer satisfaction and wider service-related KPIs Experience Requirements: Minimum 4 years' field service experience within the CNC machine tool or industrial equipment sector Proven experience servicing, maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Technical qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as BTEC, City
