Overview: Working closely with our client, a market leader in the supply of ancillary equipment to the plastics industry, we are looking for 2x Cooling Service Engineers to support business growth within their Cooling Division.

This position will suit a skilled Process Cooling Engineer with demonstrable experience of fault finding, repair and maintenance of process cooling systems. The successful Cooling Service Engineer will play an important role in ensuring equipment reliability, efficiency and performance.
Role: As Cooling Service Engineer you will carry out fault finding, repair, and maintenance of process cooling systems on customer sites. In the role of Cooling Service Engineer you will be responsible for supporting installation and upgrade activities for cooling equipment and associated systems. Provide technical support to customers on system operation and maintenance. Work with suppliers to understand equipment requirements and support ongoing system performance. Conduct system performance checks, diagnostics, and optimisation to improve efficiency and reliability. Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company procedures. Support training and knowledge sharing within the engineering team. Contribute to continuous improvement of service processes and system performance. Stay up to date with industry developments, technologies, and best practices. Undertake additional duties as required within the scope of the role.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Process Cooling Engineer, including fault finding, repair, and maintenance of process cooling systems
- Strong practical experience carrying out on-site diagnostics, servicing, and system optimisation
- Solid understanding of process cooling systems, including refrigeration principles, electrical and mechanical components, and control systems
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics as applied to cooling systems
- Experience supporting system improvements, modifications, and upgrades
- Ability to diagnose issues such as leaks, pump failures, pressure irregularities, and performance inefficiencies
- Experience implementing preventative maintenance strategies to ensure system reliability
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with good documentation and reporting skills

- Knowledge of health & safety requirements within field service operations
