Working alongside our client, a leading injection moulding manufacturer, we are seeking a Maintenance Engineer on a day shift to join their Engineering team.

Remit:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing effective maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of injection moulding machines, associated robotics, automation equipment, and site facilities. The Maintenance Engineer will play a critical role in minimising downtime, maximising machinery performance, and ensuring safe, efficient production operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a forward-thinking company on a 4-day, days-only role.
Role:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on injection moulding machinery, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns swiftly, ensuring root cause is identified and corrective action is implemented.
- Support maintenance and ensure machines are production-ready in line with schedules.
- Undertake electrical and mechanical fault-finding on equipment, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Support installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
- Ensure spare parts stock levels are maintained and requisitions are raised.
- Contribute to training and knowledge sharing with the team.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance engineering, ideally within plastics/injection moulding or a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and automation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (Desirable).
- Experience with PLC fault finding and programming (Desirable).
- Knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement principles (Desirable).
- Proficient in planned and reactive maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Strong health & safety awareness.
