Working exclusively with our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team during an exciting period of sustained business growth.

Remit
This position will suit a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to secure a days position with the opportunity to be the lead of the plant & facilities maintenance onsite. You will have strong electrical/mechanical applications with proven experience of working within a structured maintenance programme whilst dealing with day-to-day breakdowns, faults and repairs.
As Maintenance Engineer, you will perform the day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant equipment to include injection moulding machinery and associated ancillary equipment, ensuring continuity of production, consistent with the company's goals and needs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the fault finding and repair of electrical/mechanical faults that occur on plant machinery and equipment.
- Assist with the maintenance programme for all plant and/or equipment (hydraulics, robots, ancillary machines, automatic assembly).
- Validate new plant equipment, automation and upgrades.
- Process/equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis.
- Ensure all items of plant and/or equipment are in good safe working order.
- Strive to improve the efficiency and safety of plant and equipment.
- Maintain a high standard of record keeping for all repairs and servicing of plant and/or equipment as required for audit, traceability and warranty purposes, in accordance with the Quality Management System.
Requirements
- Demonstrable maintenance experience within injection moulding or other plastics manufacturing disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical engineering/maintenance.
- A good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronic/electrical automation controls.
- Qualified electrician with 16th/17th/18th Edition regulations or equivalent.
- Logic fault-finding & problem-solving skills.
- Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Experience of reactive maintenance.
- Troubleshooting problems on various types of equipment.
- You will be a focused team player with a strong character with the aim to further improving the department.
