What You’ll Be Doing:
You will be a welcomed member of the Long Term Care team, working in a fast‑paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Dietary Aide, you will do meaningful work every day ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.
How You’ll Succeed:
- Assist with the preparation of meals and serving meals
- Follow residents' diets and food preferences
- Take the menu orders from the residents
- Set and clear tables in the dining rooms and ensure they are sanitized
- Ensure you are following proper food handling techniques
Who You Are:
- Have a valid Safe Food Handler’s Certificate or be willing to obtain one
- You are committed to providing compassionate support that enables seniors to live their lives to the fullest
- You are detail‑oriented with strong customer service skills, enabling effective communication with residents and staff
- You may bring experience in food service from institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality settings
- While possessing a Food Service Worker Certificate would be excellent, it’s not a requirement
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province
