We have an opportunity for a Private Equity backed Logistics business who are looking for an interim Business Analyst to support delivery of a large-scale data and reporting platform built on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This role sits between business reporting owners and the data delivery team, ensuring reporting needs are clearly defined, translated into precise data requirements, and validated once delivered.
Key responsibilities:
- Define reporting products: purpose, users, and analytical capabilities
- Translate business questions into structured reporting and data requirements
- Work closely with data modellers to define facts, dimensions, measures, and business logic
- Write clear, testable acceptance criteria for data outputs (not reports or UI)
- Validate delivered datasets, semantic models, and analytical behaviour in Power BI
- Act as functional approver of data assets and support reporting teams during enablement
Essential experience:
- Business Analyst background on data, analytics, or reporting initiatives
- Hands-on Power BI experience validating models, measures, filters, and behaviour
- Strong understanding of data modelling and analytics concepts
- Confident working with technical teams and senior business stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Microsoft Fabric or modern cloud data platforms
