Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
About the role
Within Siemens Digital Industries Software, Technology & Innovation (T&I) has two open positions for 12‑month interns within the Documentation team for the Rapidminer data analytics products. Rapidminer is a data analytics and AI platform used by thousands of data analysts around the world in multiple industries to unlock new insights from existing data. The platform consists of a wide range of intuitive tools used to create advanced analytics and AI‑driven product solutions. The platform is used for large‑scale transformation of structured and unstructured data; code‑based analytics solutions with Rapidminer SLC supporting SAS language, Python and R development; and rapid visual development of business models to aid data‑driven decision making. These internships are well‑suited for undergraduate students in mathematics or computer science courses that include a year in industry. The positions are based in the Hammersmith office in London and can start from July 2026 onwards.
Joining as a 12‑month intern provides you with an excellent opportunity to experience technical writing at a high level to provide guidance to customers using Rapidminer products.
What you will be doing
- Apply your technical knowledge in understanding computational engineering analyses
- Communicate with technical experts and software developers in researching new product features
- Become a proficient technical writer in a team that uses modern XML content development tools
- Develop new material for tutorials and workflows and update existing material to reflect product changes
- Build experience in how Rapidminer products are used to enhance decision‑making across different industries.
What you will bring
- Be able to demonstrate that you can explain things well in written English. Writing samples are requested as part of the selection process
- Be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, physics, or mathematics
- Be willing to tackle new challenges independently and as part of a team
