This role is well‑suited to an ambitious professional looking for the next step in your career. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of Supplier Quality Management requirements with the Sudbury Manufacturing location.
Your Role:
- Participate as part of a geographically dispersed team of Supplier Quality Assurance Engineers and support global Supplier Quality visions and strategies.
- Support the deployment and communication of established supplier quality strategies.
- Support supplier qualification activities in cooperation with Purchasing and senior quality representatives.
- Work collaboratively with the audit team and represent Siemens Healthineers in a supporting role during supplier audits.
- Support supplier audits, including preparation, participation, and follow‑up actions, under the guidance of senior quality staff.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Quality Assurance agreements and support implementation monitoring.
- Contribute to supplier performance monitoring and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a collaborative approach to quality activities.
- Support standardized supplier qualification process according to corporate guidelines (Ready for business).
Your Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field).
- Several years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role for a medical device or highly regulated industry.
- Travel may be required for this position: potentially 3‑5%.
- Understanding of FDA regulations and ISO 13485.
- Audit experience or training preferred.
- Leadership qualities and role‑model qualities demonstrated.
- Ability to work independently and effectively.
- Excellent high‑level oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates a willingness to collaborate across teams and job functions and ensures clear communication to support manufacturing and suppliers.
- Adaptable and willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
- Applies established quality requirements, specifications, and risk‑based methods in supplier activities.
