The Siemens Mobility Bogie Service Centre (BSC) in Lincoln is a specialist facility focused on the overhaul and maintenance of train bogies—the critical wheelset assemblies that support and guide trains on the track.
We are currently looking for a committed and detail-oriented Stores Coordinator to join our Materials team. This role will initially be based at our Lincoln site, with a planned relocation to our new Rail Village in Goole in the near future.
As the Stores Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting production by ensuring the timely availability of essential materials, including tooling, consumables, and spare parts.
Please note: While the role will begin at our Lincoln facility, your long-term contractual work location will be the Goole Rail Village.
You‘ll make a difference by …
- Stock control utilizing the stock management system. Receive, dispatch, inspect and issue materials
- Update the relative order/materials databases and ensure Stores security is maintained
- Updating relative order/materials databases
- Control and order stores/depot consumables and tooling
- Raise transport requests for the transportation of material through authorised accounts to move material to other depot/suppliers
- Assist technical staff in the identification of materials and raise order requests
- Loading and unloading of the trucks in a careful manner to ensure the released goods are moved and stored without damage and in line with manual guidelines
Your success will be grounded by …
- Warehouse and/or logistical experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good level of computer literacy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Basic engineering knowledge is preferred but not essential
- Fork Lift Truck Licence of experience is preferred but not essential
