Siemens Smart Infrastructure are recruiting a Project Manager/ Small Works Manager to deliver fast high‑quality small works projects to all stakeholders on time, within cost whilst maintaining margins and keeping outstanding debt to a minimum. The role will focus on works for fire systems and CCTV systems. As a Project Manager, you will co‑ordinate with clients and contractors and manage the design, installation and commissioning elements of the projects.

Location: This is an onsite role in Central London.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Gain clear understanding of customer requirements, by attending regular meetings, site surveys and collaboration with consultants.
  • Responsible for financial forecasting including payment applications.
  • Working closely with the account manager for the area to ensure financial targets are achieved.
  • Fully manage the scope of works for the duration of the project, carrying out variation management, quality checks on installation and health & safety audits.
  • Communicate job progress/performance to client, ensuring works are carried out to the specification.
  • Responsible for ensuring all problems during project delivery are solved effectively keeping high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for generating risk and method statements, ensuring all works are being carried out in accordance with Siemens H&S guidelines.
  • Actively handling approved Siemens Subcontractors and Siemens engineers to carry out works.
  • Working closely with all areas of the business to ensure works are managed and delivered in accordance with Siemens small works processes.

You’ll build on your existing expertise:

  • Previous experience within a similar role in a large complex site and in a similar environment (Fire & Security or Retail).
  • SMSTS (or a willingness to work towards) ECS Black Card.
  • Fire Alarm Design Experience and demonstrable in‑depth knowledge of BS5839.
  • Knowledge of the security industry, specifically CCTV.
  • Proven ability of financial forecasting & reporting, pipeline management & generation.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors operationally and financially, while providing strong leadership and stakeholder engagement to motivate teams, resolve challenges, and deliver high quality outcomes on time.

Advantageous:

  • Health and safety qualification (i.e. IOSH) would be an advantage but training will be given.
  • APMP or Prince2 qualification.
  • Level 3 Fire and Emergency Systems or Electrical Installation.
