We\’re proud to announce the launch of our first UK-based Rail Industry Hub, located on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This marks a major milestone in our commitment to UK rail manufacturing and innovation. Our initial contract involves assembling more than 80 state-of-the-art trains for the Piccadilly line on the London Underground, and we\’re now recruiting around 300 skilled technical and support professionals to join our growing team at the Goole Manufacturing Facility.
With further contracts expected to increase the number of trains into the hundreds, we\’re also planning to expand the site to include maintenance and overhaul operations. This long-term investment reflects our dedication to the region and will create sustained employment and exciting career opportunities for years to come.
Role and Responsibilities
We are now looking for a MRP Buyer to join our Logistics team based in Goole. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cost-efficient and on-time supply of materials, according to scheduled demand.
Responsibilities
- You will form part of a team responsible for successfully processing purchase requests and then ensuring the on-time arrival of material on site.
- You will engage with various other parties (both internal and external) in the supply chain to improve the flow of material, communicating or raising concerns as appropriate.
- You will have a keen eye for detail, be comfortable analysing data and be able to relay and receive information from a variety of sources.
Qualifications
- A strong working knowledge of the material purchasing process, from purchase order to product delivery.
- Data analysis and IT skills, with SAP / Excel knowledge advantageous.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with an eye for detail.
