Supplyframe, a Siemens company, is an innovative and rapidly growing leader in the electronics component industry. The Media Operations Technical Editor is an integral part of driving revenue growth and is responsible for the daily support and insights critical to the success of our advertising clients’ programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Support and involvement with CSM and sales team members with pre-planning content requirements for large-scale content projects such as e-books.
- Lead the content portion of project kickoff calls with customers; explaining the content creation process and extracting all required information and context from the customer such as engineering requirements, terminology, positioning, etc.
- Select writers or be the lead writer based on domain expertise, performance, and campaign continuity.
- Ensure the on-time and correctness of content outlines, either delegating to writers or preparing the outline oneself.
- Perform technical and editorial QA on outlines and drafts, correcting inaccuracies and improving clarity, logic, and flow, or when needed returning work to writers for improvements.
- Direct revision cycles with precise, actionable feedback until high-quality, customer-ready content is achieved.
- Approve final content internally before handoff to the Project Manager for customer delivery via Customer Success team.
- Work in lockstep with the Project Manager, who manages timelines and workflows of all aspects of campaigns including social media and ads.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success Manager on customer communication and success metrics.
- Provide input to social media managers and media operations to enable them to perform their part of customer campaigns.
- Work in collaboration with the media operations team to source and hire new writers and ensure the existing writer pool can meet future customer content needs.
- Be involved with writer cost-management; from determining fees, assigning writers within budget, and balancing writer-budget for complex campaigns.
- Coach and lead the writer pool with regards to guidelines, processes, and the usage of Siemens approved AI tools for crafting and review of created content.
Who/What We Are Looking For:
- Self-motivated, able to work independently (as well as with a team) and manage workload with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Passion for facilitating internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing and prioritising multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
- Curious nature, filled with initiative and committed to follow-through.
- Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience in electronics, embedded systems, or related fields.
- Familiarity with popular electronic industry verticals such as industrial automation, manufacturing, IoT, automotive a plus.
- Proven ability to interpret technical documentation (datasheets, white papers, system architecture diagrams, engineering specifications).
- Excellent judgment in validating technical claims and identifying inconsistencies or missing details.
- 5+ years of experience editing and writing in-depth content for engineering audiences.
- Strong communication skills; Ability to lead technical discussions with customers.
- Leadership capability towards the writer pool.
- Effective and pleasant collaboration with the wider internal team.
- Native-level English proficiency.
- Ability to manage a large amount of editorial projects in parallel.
