The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of a market-leading Managed Equipment Service in line with contractual obligations, customer requirements and Siemens Healthineers’ core values. The role is accountable for achieving agreed Key Performance Indicators and other defined measures, while maintaining consistently high levels of customer satisfaction. The post holder will also ensure that financial targets, contractual commitments and agreed timescales are delivered effectively.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Act as the senior Siemens Healthineers representative for designated accounts, with overall accountability for the operational and financial performance of contracts within the region.
- Develop, maintain and strengthen customer relationships at all levels, using performance data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve satisfaction and enhance partnership working.
- Provide leadership and line management to MES Manager(s) and associated teams in accordance with Siemens Healthineers policies, ensuring appropriate support, training, development and performance management.
- Deploy new operational strategies and project initiatives in alignment with GB&I, EMEA regional and global priorities.
- Ensure financial targets are achieved as a minimum, while identifying and maximising opportunities for contract extensions, change controls and wider contribution to ES financial performance.
- Apply LEAN principles to improve operational efficiency, enhance processes, control costs and deliver savings against budget.
- Maintain compliance, quality and EH&S standards in line with Company, MHRA and NHS requirements, ensuring adherence to Zero Harm, Siemens Compliance and Business Conduct Guidelines at all times.
- Build long-term partnerships through constructive and proactive engagement with clinicians, hospital staff, management teams and PFI partners.
- Attend relevant training courses, meetings and conferences that support the role and the effective delivery of MES contract requirements.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required to meet the operational needs of the Company.
- Engage with extensive product, technical and personal development opportunities relevant to the role.
Qualifications/Experience
- Preferably educated to degree level, with substantial post-qualification experience in a service and/or project-based environment.
- Proven experience of successfully managing complex contracts and service-based operations, ideally within a medical equipment or healthcare environment.
- Working knowledge of medical imaging equipment is desirable.
- Strong commercial, financial and contractual awareness.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach to service delivery and operational management.
- Demonstrable people leadership and team management experience.
- A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and bespoke service management systems.
- Experience applying LEAN principles to support continuous improvement.
