We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Rolling Stock Customer Service business, supporting the TransPennine Express (TPE) contract at Ardwick Depot, Manchester. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile customer account, driving commercial performance, financial control and project success while leading a commercial and finance team. Working closely with the Fleet Delivery Manager and key stakeholders across the business, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering value for one of Siemens Mobility's major rail customers.
- Leading the commercial and financial management of a major rolling stock contract.
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, reporting and financial performance.
- Identifying, managing and mitigating commercial risks and opportunities.
- Managing contractual matters, claims and customer-facing commercial activities.
- Leading and developing commercial and finance team resources.
- Establishing and maintaining effective commercial controls to deliver project objectives.
- Working collaboratively across Project Management, Procurement, Engineering, Sales and Finance functions.
Your annual objective setting with your line manager will outline any additional responsibilities required to meet business or individual development needs for the forthcoming financial year.
Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems. The ability to analyse financial performance, budgets, forecasts and cost variances. Experience working within multi-disciplinary project teams. Experience working within rail, engineering, infrastructure or other complex project environments. CIMA, ACCA or equivalent financial qualification, or relevant commercial and financial management experience. Experience working in a commercial, project finance or project controls environment. Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, terms and conditions, and risk management.
