What Will Your Day Look Like?
You will be working in Digital Industries within Siemens Plc. Reporting into the business Environment, Health & Safety Manager you will support the business in maintaining excellent EHS standards during the delivery of sustainable technology solutions into our wide UK customer base. The role will be predominantly office based at Sir William Siemens House (Manchester Head office), with occasional home working permitted as part of the company’s flexible working policy. The business has a wide variety of customers and delivers both site installation and maintenance of its technologies. The role will therefore require weekly visits to the Cheadle Service Centre, and with experience, occasional visits to customer sites nationwide.
Your role will include:
- Promoting Health and Safety: Empowering colleagues to lead healthier lives by fostering a culture of well‑being and safety.
- Implementing Environmental Initiatives: Supporting the development and implementation of eco‑efficient solutions.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly tracking progress towards our carbon neutrality goal and other environmental targets.
- Engaging with Customers: Communicating with internal and external customers about our EHS initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Finding opportunities for improvement in our environmental, health, and safety practices.
- Administrating records and participating in site inspections, inductions, risk assessments and presentations.
- Completing EHS related training courses and the apprenticeship End Point Assessment in final year.
- Supporting the EHS Manager and Digital Industries business to ensure compliance with internal procedures, legal requirements and customer requirements.
- Leading by example, demonstrating our EHS values at all times and actively promoting support to our people.
What We’re Looking For:
- Logical and innovative individual willing to join our scheme and make a difference.
- Self‑motivation and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve deadlines.
- Excellent communication abilities and strong proficiency in information technology skills.
- At least 5 GCSE’s, grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English Language.
- Current driving licence preferred; applications welcome from those learning to drive.
