In this role you lead the marketing and communications for Siemens Mobility’s UK & Ireland rail businesses, shaping how Siemens is perceived by government, public sector customers and key stakeholders.
You translate political, regulatory and funding dynamics into clear narratives and campaigns, guiding regional strategy in a complex stakeholder environment.
You will oversee a regional team, support tender and product launch activities, and drive data‑driven, integrated campaigns across channels.

Responsibilities
- Act as a senior political and public-sector advisor to the UK & Ireland leadership, turning priorities and regulatory factors into strategic guidance
- Identify political, regulatory and societal issues and convert them into integrated marketing and communications plans
- Define and deliver a regional marketing and communications strategy aligned with global priorities and local objectives
- Lead communications for high‑profile, politically sensitive moments (government events, roundtables, openings, milestones, industry events, product launches)
- Build, lead and develop a regional team of marketing communications professionals
- Support tender activity with clear messaging and customer-focused content for positioning products/services
- Deliver integrated, data‑driven campaigns balancing storytelling, earned media, and digital activation with AI-enabled tools and measurable results
- Manage key stakeholder channels and formats to deliver impact while aligning with global brand and corporate communications teams
- Key requirements
- Deep experience in political, regulatory and public-sector environments with ability to translate policy and funding into positioning and campaigns
- Credibility as a senior advisor with discretion and resilience in reputational risk scenarios
- Confidence in leading engagement with government-facing events, forums and moments of scrutiny
- Strong leadership in building and motivating regional/matrixed teams
- Expertise in delivering integrated, data-driven campaigns across owned, earned and digital channels
