Overview
In this Logistics Coordinator role, you will ensure smooth outbound logistics across Oxford’s sites, coordinating shipments and documentation with internal teams and partners. You’ll contribute to a digitally enabled, resilient supply chain and drive efficiency through improvement initiatives. You’ll work closely with production, procurement and customers to meet schedules and quality standards. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to shape logistics processes and project management skills in a global healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
- Own shipping schedules and align with production, customer and business requirements
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation and compliance records
- Coordinate shipments to ensure materials arrive on time and at the right place
- Proactively respond to logistical challenges and identify solutions
- Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics partners to optimise delivery
- Review and approve shipping-related invoices
- Support new product introductions and end-of-life logistics planning
- Monitor delivery performance via KPI reporting and digital dashboards
- Support digitalisation initiatives and drive process improvements
- Lead or contribute to Lean-based continuous improvement projects
- Champion safety and environmental standards across operations
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
Key requirements
- Proven experience in outbound logistics within a complex manufacturing/production environment
- Experience handling road, sea and air shipments
- Knowledge of export and shipping documentation
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities
- Structured, analytical problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Experience with performance metrics and data-driven decision making
- Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies
- Microsoft 365 skills; Power Platform is advantageous
- Ability to influence and collaborate across functions
- Experience handling dangerous goods shipments is advantageous
- Degree-level education or equivalent industry experience
