We are recruiting an experienced Key Account Manager to join Siemens Mobility – Customer Services, Rail Infrastructure business. Reporting to the Lead Account Manager of Customer Services (CS), you will collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver account management and business generation across key markets within your allocated regions, ensuring business development and sales growth across the portfolio. The role is a hybrid position based at The Lantern, London, with international travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically lead the commercial performance of key customer accounts, unlocking sustainable growth and maximising long‑term value across accounts such as London Underground and Irish Rail.
  • Build, nurture and retain trusted strategic relationships, positioning Siemens as a partner of choice while identifying new opportunities for mutual growth.
  • Develop and execute robust customer account and business development plans, ensuring clear and effective strategic messaging across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Shape and secure new business opportunities through early engagement, defining innovative capture plans and leading customer‑focused proposal development across the bid lifecycle.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, fostering authentic engagement from early business development through to contract award to enhance satisfaction and revenue.
  • Drive insight‑led growth through market and competitor analysis, identifying digital and service innovation opportunities aligned with global initiatives and evolving customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales and account management experience within a large‑scale, customer‑focused technology or maintenance environment, with consistent delivery against targets.
  • A strong track record in value‑based business development, identifying, shaping and converting opportunities into measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain high‑impact customer relationships.
  • Strong analytical capability and market awareness, including understanding of the UK rail sector and infrastructure project lifecycle, to support planning and growth.

  • Commercial awareness and sound judgement, combined with a high level of integrity and confidence when engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resilience, drive and adaptability, with the ability to perform under pressure, solve complex problems and meet challenging deadlines.
