We are recruiting a Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. The UK team based in Farnborough is responsible for the books and records of 95 entities across 18 countries, focusing on supporting the Siemens UK business. The role involves preparing local statutory accounts and providing accounting support, requiring effective communication and relationship management with key business contacts and external auditors.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of UK statutory accounts (IFRS and UK GAAP), ensuring timely and accurate delivery of annual statutory reports.
• Organizing the statutory accounts audit timetable with external auditors, tracking progress, and resolving queries.
• Ensuring the accuracy of group financial data, including disclosure notes.
• Completing timely month-end reporting aligned with internal deadlines.
• Posting month-end journals and submitting disclosures.
• Collaborating with key business contacts on accounting topics.
• Managing certain ICFR controls for the UK team.
• Reviewing and clearing Treasury payment alerts.
• Driving the implementation of digital tools for efficient financial data interpretation and communication.

Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• Experience in statutory accounts preparation and working with auditors.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and ICFR requirements.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Experience in dynamic, evolving environments.
• Excellent intercultural communication skills and a proactive ownership approach.
• Passion for supporting finance and accounting teams within Siemens UK.
