You'll make a difference by:
- Be instrumental in ensuring robust environmental governance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and coordinate ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems) certification activities.
- Maintain environmental and energy legal registers, conduct compliance evaluations, and provide evidence records (e.g., WEEE, Battery, Plastic, & Packaging).
- Collect, analyse, and report environmental and energy performance data, KPIs, and trends to inform management reviews and strategic decision-making.
- Drive initiatives for resource efficiency, waste minimisation, and pollution prevention.
- Contribute significantly to our long-term sustainability objectives and carbon reduction strategies.
What we are looking for:
- In-depth understanding of Environmental & Energy Management Systems (ISO 14001/ISO 50001).
- Knowledge of UK and applicable international environmental and energy legislation.
- Familiarity with sustainability and environmental performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and personal drive.
- Desirable but not essential: Relevant qualifications such as a NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
- Ability to write and develop 'Group, Local' procedures.
- Awareness of waste management, resource efficiency, and circular economy principles.
- Proficiency in IT tools such as Power BI, Microsoft SWAY, Forms, and Lists.
