This role provides engineering leadership, assurance, and data‑driven oversight to support the safe and timely delivery of customer service contracts. With a strong focus on managing and governing D/FRACAS activities, you will oversee engineering data across the full solutions lifecycle. Acting as a key interface between regional delivery teams, customers, and Customer Services, you will ensure robust project handover using PM@Siemens processes, capturing all technical, safety and data requirements. You will coordinate and deliver engineering support services across the regions, building strong customer relationships while supporting accurate planning, technical reviews, and contract delivery. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring engineering quality, consistency, and seamless transition into long‑term support.

Responsibilities
  • Providing engineering leadership across support contracts, ensuring technical standards, safety requirements, and full contract compliance are met.
  • Coordinating and overseeing all D/FRACAS activities, acting as the central data custodian and ensuring accurate fault analysis, reporting, and escalation.
  • Managing engineering elements of contract delivery, including planning, progress monitoring, tender technical reviews, and assessing contract changes.
  • Ensuring robust project handover into Customer Services through effective application of PM@Siemens checklists and capturing all technical, safety, and data requirements.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and regional delivery teams, identifying opportunities for enhanced service solutions and providing engineering/technical guidance.
  • Coordinating engineering support services, including subcontractor oversight, resource forecasting, and signposting between technical authorities, delivery teams, and customers.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong grasp of task, time and people management.
  • Confident leadership with the ability to guide and influence team performance.
  • Professional membership with the IET, IRSE or another recognised engineering body.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience across all aspects of signalling and railway engineering.
  • Practical understanding of railway project or contract delivery, including full lifecycle awareness.
  • Strong knowledge of contract requirements, safety standards and applicable contract conditions.
